Book of the Month
This months Review is The Secret. This one is a great read.
We would like to introduce our Book reviewer, Maisie Devon Waters who lives in a small village in Cornwall. Maisie is in her late 40’s , happily divorced and with two grown up children. She has a love of her garden and is a professional grower of garden azaleas. Maisie is a keen and avid reader and writer of books and kindly agreed to review various books which she hopes readers of the magazine may find of interest.
This month Maisie read “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne, a book that has sold millions worldwide, being translated into many different languages.
Here, Maisie writes her review :
The Secret claims to reveal the most powerful law in the universe and takes a common thread that is said to run through the most acclaimed figures of history, prophets, seers, scientists and many of the world’s greatest men and women. So, it was with great enthusiasm that I opened this little book, which slowly I found to contain so much inspiration and a book that I found very hard to put down.
The book is truly inspirational, It does not focus on the negatives in life but rather looks at the many positive stories that in turn make you fully realise that life is about the law of attraction ; like calls to like , and as such throwing up positive thoughts to the universal source will hopefully be returned to you in the form of positive answers that will in some way illuminate the self and life.
This is a book that can travel with you. It is a book that can be opened at any page and you will find that inspirational quotation or narrative that in it’s own way will mean something to you in your own life and philosophy.
If only this little book had been written years ago !!!!
